If the windshield has a small crack (less than 1 cm in diameter) caused by a loose stone or a car stud, for example, the glass can usually be repaired. If the crack is several centimeters in diameter, it is advisable to replace the windshield completely.

Stone chip repairs are usually covered by glass insurance without a deductible, meaning it won't cost you anything. (Please check your insurance terms and conditions to see what kind of insurance you have!) When replacing your windshield, you only pay us the glass insurance deductible.

Stone chip repairs usually take about 30–60 minutes, and you can often get an appointment for the same day. You can wait in our customer lounge while the repair is being done.
You should allow one day for windscreen replacement. If you bring your car in the morning, you can pick it up in the afternoon. If necessary, you can use a rental car (€39/day). Always book an appointment in advance, whether it's for stone chip repair or windscreen replacement. If you do not have glass insurance,
ask for quote for glass replacement and repair.
In addition to Pilkington glass, we also offer slightly cheaper replacement glass. When replacing a windshield, we always check the related functions. These include rain sensors and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) safety systems.
A camera mounted on the windshield controls the driver assistance systems related to monitoring the vehicle's surroundings. Various driver assistance systems help the driver observe traffic flow and can even intervene in driving if necessary. Driver assistance systems use cameras, radars, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors located on different sides of the vehicle, which require calibration after certain repairs.
Depending on the make and model of the car, calibration is done by driving the car or in a service hall using calibration charts. You will receive a calibration certificate for the calibration.
